VexAITerms of Service — VexAI
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of VexAI, a browser extension for AI translation and reading assistance, and the website at vexai.pyktools.com (together, the "Service"). VexAI is operated by TRAN NGOC HAI, an individual trading as Pyktools, based in Vietnam ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
VexAI translates web pages, images, comics and documents, answers questions about the page you are reading, dubs videos, and offers related writing and detection tools. Some features are free; others are paid for with credits (§3). Features may be added, changed or removed over time.
2. Your account
- Some features require signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter into these Terms where you live, to use the Service.
- Free credits for new accounts are limited to one claim per device. Creating multiple accounts or otherwise working around this or any other limit is not allowed.
3. Credits and payment
- Paid features are used by spending credits, bought in one-time credit packs. There is no subscription and you are never charged automatically.
- Prices are shown in the extension and on our pricing page, excluding sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms, which are shown at checkout.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money, and are only usable within the Service. Purchased credits do not expire.
- The number of credits a feature uses depends on the feature and the amount of content, and is recorded in your credit history in the extension. We may change how many credits a feature uses in the future; this never reduces the credits already in your balance.
- Requests that fail because of an error on our side are refunded to your balance automatically.
4. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything illegal, or to harass, defame, or harm others;
- submit content you do not have the right to process, or use translations in a way that infringes the copyright or other rights of the content's owner — translations are provided for your personal reading and understanding;
- attempt to access the Service other than through the extension, including by automated scripts, scraping, or reverse engineering our servers or APIs;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service or its output as a service of your own;
- interfere with the Service, other users, or the systems of our providers;
- use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, sexually exploits minors, or violates the usage policies of the AI providers we rely on.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where the breach is serious, remaining credits may be forfeited.
6. AI-generated output
Translations, answers, voice-overs and other output are generated automatically by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial or other decisions where accuracy is critical. You are responsible for how you use the output.
Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information (identity documents, bank details, medical records and similar) to AI features.
7. Your content and privacy
You keep all rights to content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process it only as needed to provide the feature you requested. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Google, AI model providers and Paddle, and works on websites we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party services or websites, and their own terms apply to your use of them.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features, including free allowances. If we shut down paid features entirely, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of credits purchased in the preceding 12 months.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Sections 3 (credit terms), 6, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the extension or on this website. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
